Terms of Service

Effective date: April 3, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Clelia (“we”, “us”, “our”), including app.withclelia.com and www.withclelia.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Clelia is

Clelia is an eligibility-matching and workflow tool that helps Canadian students identify financial support programs they may qualify for — including grants, loans, bursaries, and emergency aid. Clelia uses a rules-based matching engine verified against publicly available program documentation.

Clelia is not a financial advisor, legal advisor, or government body. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial advice, legal advice, or a guarantee of eligibility or funding. You should verify all eligibility criteria directly with the administering program before applying.

2. Eligibility to use

You must be at least 16 years old and currently enrolled in, or planning to enrol in, a Canadian post-secondary program to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and current information in your intake profile. Providing false information to manipulate eligibility matches is a violation of these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time. Account deletion permanently removes your profile and application history.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or illegal content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the eligibility rules database or application data in bulk
  • Impersonate another person or create accounts on behalf of someone else without their consent
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable Canadian law

5. Program information accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to keep eligibility rules and program information current and accurate. However, government programs change frequently. Clelia does not guarantee that any program listed remains available, that eligibility criteria are up to date, or that any match will result in funding.

Every eligibility rule in Clelia includes a “last verified” date. We recommend checking the official program source before applying.

6. Document vault

You may upload documents (e.g. tax returns, enrollment letters) to the Clelia document vault. By uploading a document you confirm you have the right to share it. You retain ownership of your documents. We store them securely and use them only to assist with your support workflows.

Clelia does not submit documents to government programs or institutions on your behalf. All submissions are made directly by you.

7. Intellectual property

The Clelia platform, eligibility rules engine, matching logic, and interface are owned by Clelia and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission, except as necessary to use the Service as intended.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Clelia and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed applications, incorrect match results, or loss of data.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or the integrity of the platform. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through your profile settings.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
